PROGRAMS
Hands Up Outreach Ministry is achieving more than ever before. We work on many exciting programs to help improve the lives of others, and we are proud of our service. Learn more about what we do, who we support, and how we promote positive, long-lasting change.
EVE'S DAUGHTERS
At HUOM, our team takes maternal and infant health very seriously. As women of color are more likely to die during childbirth than non-women of color, we work to ensure birth equity by supplying maternal and infant supplies, such as breast pumps, diaper bags, and diapers, to families each month.
FISH AND LOAVES
At HUOM, our goal is to end hunger and food deserts. We provide hot meals to the homeless, supply groceries to families, and educate the community on the benefits of healthy cooking, nutrition and garden each month.
THANKSGIVING GIVEAWAY
In November, HUOM hosts its annual holiday basket giveaway. We provide over five hundred turkey baskets to families and over two hundred hot meals to the senior and houseless community.
FRIDAYS' KIDS
During the academic year, HUOM partners with public schools to provide uniforms, school supplies and pizza once a month on Fridays. We also donate grocery gift cards, laundry detergent and personal toiletries in an effort to support children and their parents.
